First of all, thank you for browsing around and taking a look at what I’ve got going on.
So, what do I have here? Thought you’d get to know more about me, eh? Well, the main subject of this so called blog is that I’ve finally gotten around to getting a little more serious about pursuing my dream project and working on it. I had this idea way back in 2015, to create a hand drawn map of the overworld of Final Fantasy VII. This game has been a huge part of my life (how many times have you heard that from other FF fans? xD ) and thought why the hell not. I’m not the best artist around but I’m going to try my best to achieve this.
This dream project is in hopes that I will be able to someday finish and print the map as a hi-res image that I can put in a fancy frame to hang up in my home. Not only will I be posting about the project and its progress (hence the site name) but I love playing video games when possible between a full-time job and life in general. I would love to talk about gaming, games I’ve played, games I’m currently playing, etc. Also, I’ll throw in some different art things that I’m doing and maybe chat about sports because that is also something that I love and dedicate a lot of free time to watching hockey, football and soccer (futbol). I’m usually a shy person and might not speak up…but when it comes to these subjects, I can get pretty passionate. Though a lot of what I say is me speaking out of my emotions and feelings rather than basing it on specific facts and stats but I hope you’ll humor me and let me vent out here. And I’m hoping I can come out of my shell, just a little bit.
And with this blog, it’ll be nice to just document the progress. It’s taken me this long, I might as well go all out.

Gaming
My earliest memory of video games must be from the very first Super Mario Bros. game on the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). My brother and I would be glued to the tv and most of the time I would watch him play through the levels and on occasion I’d be able to have the opportunity play some levels. More and more as I grew up, I got more familiar with the controller and getting better at the hand-eye coordination and getting the timing down. The Mario series has to be my absolute favorite next to the Final Fantasy series. I do feel fortunate enough to have grown up in the Nintendo generation and would not have it any other way. I will be posting about different games that I’ve been playing and have played. I should probably start a games list post that I’d probably edit periodically.
Sports
I am a huge Chicago sports fan as I am based out of the lovely city of Chicago, Illinois! The major sports teams that I am a huge fan of are the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL), Chicago Bears (NFL), Chicago Red Stars (NWSL – National Woman’s Soccer League), and Chicago Fire FC (MLS – Major League Soccer). I don’t closely follow the Bulls, Cubs or White Sox but I’ll cheer them on as they are Chicago teams. We’re All Chicago!
There is one team that I have been following ever since they were announced to become an expansion team to the NHL. The Vegas Golden Knights! I have family in Vegas, so it was only fitting to be cheering on this team but not only that, they have seriously been playing some of the most fun hockey as of late. They’ve been so much fun to watch and it extends my hockey season just in case the rebuilding Blackhawks get knocked out of the playoffs early (which happened this year in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs).
