IT’S SELL DAY!!!
The last day of the year where I can sell mostly everything that I’ve hoarded from the previous years PLUS all of the crops and goods I have been saving since Spring Year 4, Day 1. I did keep at least 10 of each thing just in case a villager needed a certain item or if my fish ponds demanded certain items later on. Bottom line is that I’m selling a F*** ton of stuff I’ve been hoarding on my farm. Also, if I sold everything, I’d have this uneasy anxious feeling which shouldn’t be the case because going into year 5 I’m sure I’ll have the most money I’ve ever made in any of my Stardew files.
It is about 3:30am in the morning (IRL) and I’m still barely awake just trying to document this because it has been a long time coming and a day in the game I’ve been waiting for. It is still 3:00pm in Stardew time and I’m just going around town going to all my stash chests to see if there’s any surplus of anything I can sell.
Fast forward to 11:00pm in Stardew time, I’m still running around finding any last minute items to go into the fully loaded sell box! Mayor Lewis is going to have a hell of a time sorting and storing all the stuff I’ve put in there. 11:10pm: I think it’s time to call it and see how much money I’ll be earning from years worth of hoarding crops, goods and miscellaneous things. Time for the Big Sell!
*DRUM ROLL*

The image doesn’t do it justice, I should’ve taken several screenshots to create a gif. Oh well. But as you can see the TOTAL bar, broke! It’s not able to show the full amount but the Farming category is in the millions! Stardew doesn’t actually tell me how many items were sold, just total gold amounts, so I decided to document all of it into a google sheet.
STATS:
Total items sold: 19,929
Total sell amount: 10,200,697g

Well, that was a fun little experiment, granted not a perfect experiment. Now I can go back to 100% the game. And after yesterday, my Steam Achievements jumped up to 75%. NICE.
RECAP
The Stardew Valley Year 4 Experiment – Pretty much just collect all goods, crops together and try not to sell them. At the end of the year, take everything that has been hoarded, including things saved from years 1-3 and see how much money I get back from selling it all
Stardew Valley: Winter Year 4, Day 27 (Sell Day Eve) – Gathered everything I wanted to sell into chests in front of the house so I didn’t waste time during Day 28 to get everything.
