Blackhawks vs Golden Knights | Very late to the game

I had quite the dilemma

I never thought I’d see this match up so soon. The Knights are still a fairly new team in the league but have already made significant strides into becoming a legit team to watch out for. The league officially voted on the expansion back in 2016 but they did not officially begin play until the 2017-2018 season. These two teams that I cheer so hard for, collided as a matchup I wasn’t prepared for. Ultimately I was cheering on the Blackhawks as I have since 2009. It was rough watching that series but there was still good hockey being played on both sides but the Knights won the series 4-1.

The one game the Hawks did manage to win against Vegas was Game 4. Facing elimination, Corey Crawford played his ass off by keeping Vegas off the board. And as evidence as to how well he played that night, he was ALL 3 STARS OF THE GAME. ALL THREE! Usually you’d see three different players pictured. Clearly you can see the kind of night he had except the numbers on the screen doesn’t do it justice. There’s always the highlights on youtube to watch.

I was having high blood pressure that night. I didn’t want that matchup to end but I knew going into it that, Vegas was the better team.

[2022-04-14] Future Wing here. Around this time, despite enjoying some playoff hockey, I was facing some difficulties in life and had ultimately abandoned this blog for over a year.
